Terms of Service

These are my Terms of Service, which are legally binding when you commission me. They will not change except in contract form, which both parties (the customer and I) must sign and date with their legal names.

Please read these carefully before agreeing to commission me, and return to them before doing anything within this agreement that could go against them.

I provide a service in exchange for money. I do not work for you. I am a human being, with human problems and human responsibilities. Forgetting this may result in termination of the contract, as I have the legal right to refuse service at any time without giving compensation.

Basic Information

This business is owned and run by Ridley Storm.

Most if not all of your interactions with Weeping Willow Suits will be with Lys. I do have other people working with me, but as of now I still do the majority of the work and handle all communications personally.

I do not claim to be a professional like to Mischief Makers, Pheonix Nest, Made Fur You, or other largely known and more expensive makers (as is their right for their experience and skill level). I am a paid maker, yes, but I am still learning and getting better, as well as the other people who help me make what I do.

Prices are based on materials and a minimum payment standard for work. I set my prices myself based on how much I feel I deserve, want, and how much people are willing to pay me. I also consider the prices of other people's work when I set my own prices.

Payments

These are my rules about payments for commissions and products.

PAYING FOR PREMADES

Premades are products that have already been finished and feature characters that are owned by Weeping Willow Suits until the product and character are sold to a customer, or are made with rather basic color and pattern combinations and thus can be used freely because the aspect cannot be claimed exclusively by one character or person. A premade may be a custom fursuit, kigurumi, fursuit part, or plushy.

Parts of premades will not be split up. You will pay for and receive all advertised pieces of a sale, no exceptions.

You must pay for the premade and its shipping in full. I will not take payment plans because if you stop paying, I cannot send the part of the premade you paid for, and like I said before, I will not split parts up. I cannot afford to wait a long time to be paid in full, when I could make money instantly by selling the item to someone willing to pay in full upfront, and the money I make could be used to pay to make more premade things that I can sell again.

PAYING FOR COMMISSIONS

If you are only commissioning one part of a suit, you must pay the full amount plus shipping right away. This is because if you pay partially, I have no guarantee from you that you will pay the rest later. I also may not be able to pay for materials, which is a problem. This may have escaped your knowledge, but fursuit makers are not rich. I have no guarantee that if you pay part of the cost you will also pay shipping, and that is also a problem, because I cannot afford to pay to ship the product to you myself. Thus I will not send it and I may be unable to refund you and resell it to someone else, especially if it is so unique to your character that a new one can't be made based on the design of that part, like with a head.

PAYING FOR CUSTOMS WITH MORE THAN ONE PART

You may pay for commissions in full or in parts. Most people choose payment plansa because they do not have all that money sitting around when they commission, but will be able to pay off the commission gradually when each paycheck comes. So long as you pay off your commission, it's all good. You will also need to pay shipping costs at the end.

Your first payment will be a down payment. It will go towards materials and the cost to make the first fursuit part. Your down payment amount will depend on what parts you are buying - the down payment for a full suit may be more than the down payment for a partial. That's because full suits typically need more material than partials (unless your partial has a rainbow tail and an additional normal color pallet for the body, and your full suit has three colors/your partial requires me to buy expensive fur).

Refunds

I only offer refunds for premades before the item is shipped. If you still want a refund after the item is shipped, you must pay to ship the item back, undamaged, in the same package, unopened, immediately after you have received it. If I get the item back and it is in good condition, I will refund you the money you paid minus the cost for the item to be shipped to you.

I do not offer refunds for commissions under any circumstances. Chances are I have already bought the materials, and I may have also already started working on the commission. I will send you the commission when it's done and then it is your decision what to do with it.

I do not offer refunds for orders lost in the mail. Before I ship the item, you should have a picture of your order. That proves I made it. I offer tracking numbers as well when I ship items, which cannot be faked, thus proving that I shipped your order out.
